Cut vs. Uncut

(Also known as circumcised vs. uncircumcised)

a circumcised penisA 'cut' or 'circumcised' man is one whose penis foreskin has been partially or completely removed via surgery.  This is usually done at birth, although some cultures wait until early adolescence as a rite of passage into manhood.  Sometimes men need to have circumcisions as adults, usually for medical reasons, the most common being that the foreskin is too tight, which can cause severe discomfort and other issues.

Most cultures perform circumcisions for religious reasons.  In America it is also part of the sweeping epidemic of hygiene anxiety.

Although all dicks can come in all kinds of surprising shapes, it can be argued that most circumcised dicks have a basic recognizability:  exposed head and shaft, with visible frenulum and little or no foreskin.

Here are some examples of cut (circumcised) penes*:

*penes is the plural of penis

Knowing what a cut dick looks like makes it a little easier to explain what’s going on with an uncut dick.  What has been cut off from a circumcised dick is (hopefully) only the foreskin, leaving the head completely exposed.

foreskin flap

Some cut dicks will have a little flap of leftover foreskin just under the frenulum.  (And it’s okay to touch, pull, and play with that flap.)

Therefore an uncut dick is simply a penis left au naturale, with all of the foreskin, which covers the head.

Here are some uncut (uncircumcised) penes:

Notice how the penis head is covered instead of exposed, but you can still see the shape of the head outlined within the skin (this will be important later).

But the variations in degree of foreskin and tightness or looseness of foreskin can alter the shape in ways that, to those who are accustomed only to seeing cut dicks, may look very odd indeed, and to those of us who like foreskin, may look very sexy indeed.

One of the reasons for having a circumcision is that it is easier to keep the dick clean.  In cleanliness-obsessed America, that in particular is why it is rampantly widespread beyond religious reasons.  But note that uncut dicks are not so difficult to clean if the owner is able to pull his foreskin all the way back.  In fact, once pulled back, it’s often difficult to tell if the dick is cut or uncut to the non-discriminating eye.

However, some uncut dicks have tight foreskin.  Depending on how tight, the foreskin may either be difficult or even impossible to pull back completely.  When erect, it can take on some odd-looking shapes.  Check it out:

I don’t know about you, but I’m dripping with pre-cum now.

If the foreskin is extremely tight, it could be causing pain.  I don’t know for sure, but I would imagine that this fellow is not too comfortable.  Note how the skin along his shaft forces his dick to bend down, rather than being a more organically bent-down shape:

It’s definitely worth noting, incidentally, that, although some uncut dicks are indeed more difficult to clean, it can still be done.  Like cut guys, it all depends on the owner’s personal hygiene habits.

There is, not surprisingly, a lot of fetishism about cut vs. uncut dicks.  The preference an individual may have for one or the other can be amazingly severe.  Many are they who will have sex ONLY with men who are cut, or ONLY with men who are uncut; or, at least, it is their absolute stated preference, which they may be willing to waive for “the right guy.”

rather extreme foreskinYou could say, however, that the phenomenon of circumcision doubles the number of ways to give service to a cock.  I love both kinds, but I admit I am more fascinated with uncut cocks – probably because it’s such a novelty to come across one in America.  Thus they have the appeal of being exotic 'round these here parts.  I have made an effort within these e-pages to address when techniques are different for an uncut cock than a cut one.

Unless you are someone who flat-out refuses to play with dicks that don’t fit your circumcisional preference, you should get used to looking at both.  As the world becomes more and more global, you never know which one you’re going to bump into.

It could be argued that, in pragmatic terms, cut cocks are easier to control, because you are capable of directly manipulating the most sensitive parts of the penis, namely the head and frenulum.  On the other hand, the foreskin of uncut cocks gives you more ways to manipulate it.

I have heard a theory that sex can last longer with cut guys because sensitive parts of their penes have literally been cut off.  While this may sometimes be true, it is always true that dicks that have been left au naturale are, in fact, getting a lot of extra stimulation.  Any pre-cum is automatically distributed over the head and frenulum.  Thus, any movement of the dick provides some degree of stimulation.

But, except in extreme cases (like botched circumcisions where way too much skin has been cut off (and consequently too many nerve endings)), I have my doubts about cut vs. uncut as a direct correlation to the length of a session. Take it from me: I’ve been with cut guys who can barely go for more than 10 minutes and uncut guys who can go for hours and hours.

There is a lot of controversy regarding the practice of circumcising vs. not circumcising.  Leading the list is that:

(a) very often, babies are not given an anesthetic (ouch! it really hurts) (and none of the anesthetics that are used eliminate the pain completely), and

(b) they are given no choice in the matter (which often causes lifelong resentments).

I personally just wish that parents would wait beyond infancy to have it done, for two reasons:

(1) so that there can be choice in the matter, and

(2) because the precision of a masterful cut can be done with more accuracy on a mature penis attached to a mature person.*

However, these arguments for and against will go on for eternity, and the controversial aspect is too much ground to cover here, and emotions on both sides of the debate can flare up easily.

QUIZ: IS THIS DICK CUT OR UNCUT?

It’s hard.  I mean, it’s hard to tell.  I’m not even sure myself, to tell the truth.  It looks like there is foreskin hanging below the head, and I’d have to be there in person to pull up the foreskin (and how I wish I were) to see if it covers the head.
